A law written on hearts
“I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people... for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Jeremiah 31:31–34
Jeremiah is watching his nation fall apart. And in the middle of the collapse, God promises something new — not a better rulebook, but a change of location. The law moves from stone to the inside of a person.
That's a staggering promise. It means obedience will eventually stop being something imposed on us and start being something that comes out of us.
This is the seed of everything the New Testament says about a transformed heart. Not just forgiven — actually changed. Not just pardoned at the door, but made into the kind of person who genuinely wants what God wants.
The promise isn't sin management. It's a new inside.

God's plan was never to make you white-knuckle your way through obedience. It was to change what you want.
